Paw Parents,
Over the years of being Paw Parents ourselves, Brandi and I have come across many products for dogs which are refreshingly new or are
products which have improved on similar models.
Today we want to tell you about a product we found to be improving on
similar products, but at the same time refreshingly new, that product is Bubba
Pack.
Let’s face it, there are many dog packs on the market, but one of the things we like best about Bubba Pack, is its utilitarian concept and design. It’s simple to put on your dog, it weighs next to nothing, there are easy pockets to access on both sides, and with less material covering your dog’s coat, it won’t heat up your dog on a warm day.
Let’s start with the less is more concept or utilitarian
design. Utilitarian means useful,
practical, serviceable, which is exactly what Bubba Pack is all about. We were immediately struck by how simple it
is to strap it on your dog. Simple
Velcro straps go around your dog and it’s on.
The two pockets on the pack allow for ease of access to place a snack,
water, cell phone, keys, poop bags, or even store your used poop backs when
you’re out on the trail or a walk around the neighborhood without a trash can
in sight. Nothing is less attractive
than a person walking with a dog leash in one hand and a full poop bag in
the other. That’s just Eww!
The material Bubba Pack uses is another important consideration. This pack’s durable and light weight material allows for ease of movement for your dog, while at the same time allowing your dog not to get heated up on a walk or hike. Let’s face it, we’re fortunate to live inSouthern
California where for the most part, outdoor activities abound and
are most commonly done in warmer temperatures.
In July or August, out on a walk or on a trail for a hike, it could
easily reach temperatures in the high 80’s or even higher and the last thing
you want to do is have your dog get overheated risking their health. This is where Bubba Pack is great. Other dog packs have four, five or more
pockets, netting and clips. Honestly, if you looked at them, a person might
think, these packs were made to take their dog on a trip up K-2. They’re too much for the average person and
they’re too hot for the average dog out on a warm day for a walk or hike. Bubba Pack’s design allows for more of your
dog’s coat to be exposed, keeping them cooler and more comfortable, thus
insuring your dog isn’t going to be wearing a coat or vest on a warm day and
overheating.

After talking with the owner and founder of Bubba Pack, Fred
Selayandia, about his product, we like it even more as his business model is
pawtastic. Bubba Pack is made right here
in the U.S.A.
and they donate a percentage of sales to rescue and rehabilitate dogs for adoption,
as they believe in giving back and supporting needy dogs. After all, the product is named after his own
dog ‘Bubba’, so why not help Bubba’s needy buddies. The packs brand has also advanced to include
all dogs, as they have the first mini pack, which is suitable for all the small
dogs out there, because small dogs should be able to be apart of the fun.
Coming soon for Bubba
Pack will be closures on the pockets, if you desire them as well as custom
fitting a pack to your dog. Essentially,
Bubba Packs will be tailored to conform perfectly to your dog’s body. Bubba Pack really is a great product and
brand. To learn more about Bubba Pack
